Overview

COBOL developer for a foreign bank's core systems, on-site in Guangzhou (no Japanese required, English a plus).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain COBOL programs for foreign bank core systems
• Write JCL job control language, manage batch processing jobs
• Perform DB2 database operations and performance optimization
• Participate in CICS/IMS online transaction system development and debugging
• Write technical documentation, ensuring code quality and system stability
• Coordinate with project teams to complete system upgrades and migration tasks

Requirements

• 3+ years of COBOL/Mainframe development experience, banking/financial project background preferred
• Proficient in COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS, IMS technology stack
• No Japanese requirement, fluent English preferred
• Strong problem analysis and resolution capabilities
• Experience with foreign banks or large IT outsourcing projects preferred
