Overview

Urgent project supporting SAP S/4HANA adoption and process improvement at a high-volume manufacturing site for analytical, measurement and medical-related equipment. The assignment is expected from around October 2026 through March 2027, with at least three days per week on site in Ibaraki and the remainder remote.

Candidates already in Japan are preferred. For an exceptional overseas candidate with strong Japanese and relevant SAP process expertise, visa support may be considered after eligibility review.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day SAP S/4HANA adoption at a high-volume manufacturing site in Ibaraki
• Assess operational and system-usage issues across production planning, manufacturing, procurement and design teams
• Recommend more effective SAP usage and business-process improvements, focused on PP, MM and SCM
• Separate needs that can be addressed with standard SAP functionality from those requiring enhancement or another solution
• Work with business teams from requirements clarification through implementation and on-site adoption

Requirements

• SAP S/4HANA functional consulting or business-operations support experience
• Strong expertise in at least one of PP, MM or SCM, together with an understanding of manufacturing operations
• Ability to observe user workflows and propose improvements; this is not a pure ABAP development role
• Business-level Japanese for workshops, user guidance and stakeholder communication
• Availability to work at the Ibaraki client site at least three days per week and join as early as possible
• CO knowledge is advantageous; candidates with substantial overlap rather than a perfect match are welcome
