Overview

3 subcontractor positions in Taiwan. Build automated quality coverage for internationalized applications and smart home / health devices, working with development, DevOps and product teams.

Taiwan; the specific worksite, work arrangement, contract duration, start date and work-authorization requirements will be confirmed with the consultant.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain scalable UI, API and performance test automation frameworks, including TestNG where applicable.
• Review product requirements and technical designs; develop structured test strategies, plans and detailed cases for i18n and l10n.
• Integrate automated suites into CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or GitLab CI; identify, document, triage and track defects, then run regression tests.
• Work with engineers and product managers on acceptance criteria and testability. Report coverage, pass rates, defect density and execution results.
• Test 5–6 selected locales from the supported set: en-GB, zh-CN, de-DE, hi-IN, fr-CA, ms-MY, id-ID, fr-FR, nl-NL, es-ES, sv-SE, da-DK, pl-PL, hu-HU, ro-RO, zh-TW. This is a testing scope, not a requirement to speak every language.
• Cover smartwatches, health trackers, smart displays, speakers, home security cameras and video doorbells from the user’s perspective.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on software quality engineering and automated testing experience, including internationalization and localization.
• Experience on international technology-company projects in India; the relevant project background will be confirmed by our consultant.
• Proficiency in at least one of JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Java or C#; hands-on web/API automation using tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, Cucumber, Postman or RestAssured.
• Git and CI experience with tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps, plus SQL for backend data-integrity validation.
• Strong SDLC, STLC, QA best-practice and Agile/Scrum knowledge; ability to plan and execute tests from a user’s perspective.
• Experience with Appium mobile automation and exposure to performance/load testing with k6 or JMeter.
• A strong interest in smart home devices and health/wellbeing mobile applications; relevant domain knowledge is an advantage.
